The Resort at Pelican Hill Wedding | Danielle & Jon
Danielle and Jon’s wedding at The Resort at Pelican Hill was so special to be a part of and I’m so thankful to be in the wedding industry and work with the most kind and gracious people like this family. As you saw in our previous blog post, this destination wedding consisted of multiple days of events with an emphasis on creating an amazing experience for all of their guests and the wedding day itself was no different. These two really set the tone with their exquisite custom gold foil boxed invitation suite by Wiley Valentine with white marble accents that you’ll see implemented throughout their reception design. Danielle looked exquisite in her long sleeve Inbal Dror gown, accompanied by a removable Monique Lhuillier tulle skirt and Jon’s sweet reaction to her at their first look says it all. Shawna Yamamoto created a dreamy masterpiece at the ceremony site, with huge white floral arrangements and not one, but three chandeliers hanging from the rotunda! It was so magical! Following the ceremony, guests made their way to cocktail hour where they were able to enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres and yummy cocktails while relaxing on chic and comfortable lounge furniture with a 10 foot Eiffel Tower ice sculpture created by Ice Bulb as a nod to the sweet couple’s engagement. When it was time to enter the ballroom, guests found their seats from both human and 7 foot tall ice – yes, we said ice! – butlers holding champagne glasses with gold acrylic escort cards by Cordially Couture. The reception itself was a labor of love and such a team effort, as production started at 2am to get the ballroom ready. Shawna Yamamoto and her team created the most breathtaking ceiling treatment of wisteria, complemented by stunning crystal chandeliers from Amber Event Production. The tables were equally as jaw dropping, with soft white clouds of flowers with touches of gold implemented in the candles, flatware and glassware. Marble paper table numbers from Wiley Valentine and acrylic menu cards with laser cut gold etching by Cordially Couture completed the gorgeous tabletop. And not only was the reception beautiful, but it was so much FUN! Guests danced the night away with West Coast Music’s JB Project and ended the night with Swell water bottle favors for each guest to take home, as well as a late-night snack of In N’ Out burgers – a real treat for these Minnesotans! And not only do these two have stunning photos and video from their special day, but they had two live event painters on hand, with Rich Flynn capturing the ceremony and Laura from Laura Jane Studio the reception. Be sure to check out their incredible paintings below! Like I mentioned before, this family is so incredibly special and I absolutely adore Danielle and Jon. Every single vendor who was involved in their wedding weekend felt the exact same way and it was a joy for us to create the wedding of their dreams that was captured so beautifully by Brandon Kidd! Also, be sure to check out the highlight film from Elysium Productions at the very bottom of the post – you won’t want to miss a single detail! Congratulations again to this amazing couple who I adore so much!
