Shady Canyon Country Club | Doug's Birthday

Pam had a vision, one that was all about celebrating and honoring her husband Doug as he turns 60.  Throughout the event, we wanted to highlight one of his favorite words, ONWARDS! seen on the menu cards, the cake and the favor. Guests were given beautiful crystal paperweights to remember this special occasion. We designed the rest of the intimate birthday gathering around some of his other favorites such as mountain climbing in which he graced the cover of a magazine that his wife Pam authored.  It highlighted his last decade of adventures and milestones along with some of his favorite quotes. We created a photo wall of Doug’s accomplishments such as summiting Mt Whitney, opening a new Law Firm, flying and landing on a glacier to being a Father of the Bride to his daughter Morgan. Pam surprised him and the guests with a special Macallan whiskey tasting. His friends and children shared stories that night about how he has taught them about accepting change and being prepared in life for any challenge they may come across. Doug believe in patience, persistence and gratitude

Both lawyering and mountain climbing have taught me is to be focused on making smart moves forward regarding the issues and tasks at hand and not to worry about tomorrow or external forces beyond my control—my definition of onward.   – Doug Evertz
