Four Season Los Angeles at Beverly Hills Wedding | Shahrzad & AJ
One of the most charming qualities of the Four Seasons Los Angeles on Doheny is their private garden. Its tucked away from the public in the backside of the hotel with very little foot traffic from hotel and restaurant guests. For couples looking for some privacy for their ceremony you can find it there. At the end of the aisle behind a lush green and white floral platform, was Sharzhad and AJ’s sofreh aghd. The sofreh aghd spreads are usually very customary at Persian weddings. What was special about this particular sofreh aghd was that all the symbolic items were from the Mother of the Bride’s personal collection. Some of these items represented an element of the couple’s new life and marriage together. The word “sofreh” means “spread” and “aghd” means “ceremony”. Items such as eggs represent fertility while the pastries represented sweetness in life. The two large candelabras represented energy in the couples future life. Although the ceremony is serious and formal the rest of the night was about celebration, dance, great food and drinks. Guests were presented Old Fashion or Spicy Margaritas, his and hers specialty cocktails. Sharzhad wore two Oscar de la Renta gowns and carried as petite lily of the valley bouquet. Sharzhad, her mom and sisters were obsessed with flowers and wanted to make sure there was a lush variety of florals and that is why we paired them with Fayaz of Bloom Box designs and he certainly delivered! This wedding featured lush composition of the most that prettiest spring time flower we have ever seen. Their ballroom was filled with long rectangle mirror tables accented with tall billowing flowers. Centerpieces were full of duchess peonies, spirea, queen annes lace, mock orange, tea roses, hydrangea, tuba roses, mini calla, hyacinth, gardenia, astilbe, Italian rucus and maiden hair. We especially loved the lush magnolia trees flanking both sides of the DJ stage. After a 4 course dinner, guests continued to enjoy the Cultural pastime with a Persian sweets and tea station and the energy never died down with dancers performing throughout the night.
