The Resort at Pelican Hill Wedding | Izabella & Jordan
From the very beginning, when save the dates were sent out, guests received a little hint at how romantic Bella and Jordan’s wedding would be. A beautiful proposal, a song written by the groom to his future wife was printed on vellum paper. The vellum love note, was wrapped all the way around the black, white and gold foil save the dates. Coming all the way from New York we needed to make this destination wedding one for the books. Guests were later wowed with acrylic wedding invites hand brushed in gold paint and gold filled etched details of the weekend. They had a vision to not use the traditional Rotunda at Pelican Hill but to showcase the California coastline and Pacific Ocean. Fayaz and his team at Bloom Box Designs built a grey wood Chuppah and covered the entire top of the structure in flowers! We added planter boxes down the sides of aisle that were bursting with garden roses and hydrangeas. The guests over looked the amazing view of the ocean while Bella and Jordan said their “ Do's" It was such a beautiful ceremony and you could feel so much love from both families! After the ceremony, guests headed to the lower patio for cocktail hour where they were welcomed with signature drinks. Each drink had its own customized ice. From monogram ice balls and cubes, ice sticks etched with the bride and grooms first names and wedding date. In New York fashion, they had a plethora of food. From tray passed hamachi sashimi and Colorado lamb chops to a risotto station, Asian dim sum station and a seafood ice bar. Guests transitioned indoors to where every inch of the ballroom was draped and carpeted. Since they chose a rose called quick sand there wasn’t a drape color on the market that matched it perfectly so they commissioned to have 4 miles of fabric sewn into wall and ceiling drapes. The sweetheart table sat on top of a high gloss black dance floor with an abundant garland of quicksand roses cascading down to the ground. Other dining tables were custom covered in black velvet, adorned with beautiful glass candelabras. Everyone danced the night away after being surprised with yet another space that we transformed into an after party. The curtain dropped and all white room revealed. Their favorite NYC DJ Chachi kept the party going while confetti guns blasted guests with cold cyro and confetti. Bella and Jordan are a one of a kind couple and I am so happy I was able to be apart of this epic day!
