Honest Company + Operation Shower, "Anchors Aweigh, Honest Baby", Baby Shower!
It was a true pleasure to assist with the planning for this special shower! Operation Shower and The Honest Company joined forces to put together a memorable baby shower for some well deserving military moms and moms-to-be. For those of you who are not familiar with Operation Shower, it is a non-profit organization that honors military families by throwing fun showers to ease the stress of deployment. Ms. Jessica Alba loved partnering as the host for this shower as military families have a special place her heart. Not only does Ms. Alba have a personal background of being part of a military family, but her Honest Company specializes in baby products and giving back to the community!For this particular shower all of the families were part of the U.S. Navy in San Diego. All serving through the USS Ronald Reagan and USS Vinson. When coming up the the baby shower's theme we decided it would be perfect to make it a nautical inspired event. From there the, "Anchors Aweigh, Honest Baby", theme went into action. I wanted to thank our amazing team of vendors that contributed to the shower. Bravo to Fayaz with Bloom Box Designs for the design of the shower and transforming the Aria Lawn into a vintage nautical party...I felt like I was in the Hamptons! Shout out to Revelry Event Designers for their contribution of the charming style white daybeds and wooden tables. Found Vintage Rentals was so awesome to donate the wooden pergolas and nautical props to enhance the space. These added details really brought the vintage nautical theme to life! Let's not forget the linens by La Tavola Linens...the nautical knots were just perfect. Huge thank you to Rachelle at Wiley Valentine for all of our paper goods and signage for the event...you rock, Rachelle! One big hit of the shower was the photo booth by Pacific Photobooths. The moms and guests loved taking photos and keeping the photo print outs as their favor. I loved the mini desserts by Roni's Sugar Creations, and our perfectly themed shower cake by Stevi at, "Hey There, Cupcake!". Those desserts were not only some eye candy, but also delicious...thank you!Big thanks to Brandon & Kristin Kidd with Brandon Kidd Photography for sharing these photos. You two did a wonderful job documenting this special occasion with your photography!Thank you to Shannon with Hoo Films for creating a highlight video of the event. This day was one to remember and your highlight video captures the spirit of the day.Last but not least, I wanted to thank both the Honest Company for their hard work and contributions along with the all volunteers at Operation Shower. As tradition to all Operation Shower events, each mom received a special “Shower In a Box” stuffed to the brim with new baby and family products. The Honest Company contributed to the boxes with lots of fabulous Honest products including a seven month supply of diapers and wipes, a baby carrier, an organic knit blanket, a wooden toy, a special onesie, laundry detergent, Healthy Child Healthy World, The Honest Life, vitamins (Pre-Natal, DHA, and Infant), and bath & body products (body oil, nipple balm, belly balm, shampoo + body wash, bubble bath, and sunscreen).Additional donations for each mom and baby were made by the Honest Company's friends: a play yard from 4 Moms, learning toys from Land of Nod, baby shoes from TOMS, baby socks from Trumpette, clothing and sleep sacks from Mini Boden, organization and grooming kits from ORE Originals, bottles from Organic Kidz, a pack from Milestone Cards, a book from Eric Carle, a toy from Cloud B, a 3-pack language learning set from Little Pim, a bath time toy from Begin Again Toys, pajamas from Hanna Andersson, a lovie blanket from Aden + Anais, jewelry from Stella + Dot, a diaper bag from Petunia Pickle Bottom, a plush bear from Build-a-Bear, a bib from Swaddle Designs, and nursing pillows from Double Blessings.The Honest Company didn't want to forget the dads so they also created a special dad bag with gifts for the new fathers-to-be. Each dad received headphones from Beats by Dre, socks from Pair of Thieves, sunglasses from Knockaround, and Honest wipes and sunscreen.It was rewarding to be part of this great celebration!
