The Langham Huntington, Pasadena Wedding | Rachana & Mihir
Rachana and Mihir are such a wonderful couple and it was an honor to be a part of their special day! Rachana was a vision of beauty in her sari that was perfectly complemented by her exquisite jewelry and vibrant lush bridal bouquet created by Shawna Yamamoto. I just love the portraits of these two during their first look on the red bridge in the Japanese Garden captured by the talented Duke Photography – so lovely! The festivities kicked off at the Baraat, as Mihir was carried in on an elephant dressed to the nines. What an incredible entrance! Shawna Yamamoto and her amazing team created a breathtaking ceremony site. The mandap was set up on the main lawn of the property with the picturesque hotel set as the perfect backdrop! Vibrant red bougainvillea, along with red, pink and yellow roses were draped from the ceiling of the mandap and looked gorgeous hanging overhead. Following the traditional Indian ceremony, guests were wowed by the reception in the ballroom. The theme of the wedding reception was Mysore Palace, which was impeccably executed by Shawna and her team! The ceiling was adorned with lush, overflowing greenery among the gorgeous crystal chandeliers and I just love the sweet moment that Rachana and Mihir shared alone beneath it before welcoming their 500 guests inside. During the reception, the newlyweds sat on a chic white and gold tufted sofa atop a white stage with a starry night sky as the backdrop. It really felt like the inside of Mysore Palace! Guests enjoyed an evening full of delicious food and dancing that went on for hours and surrounded these newlyweds with so much love on their wedding day! It was such a pleasure to be a part of Rachana and Mihir’s wedding and we wish them all the love and happiness in the world!
