The Resort at Pelican Hill Bat Mitzvah | Talia
It was great working with Talia and her Mother, Ali, on creating a memorable Bat Mitzvah at Pelican Hill! Talia is such a sweetheart, and it was wonderful working with her family again, as I got the pleasure of knowing them before while planning Talia's older brother's Bar Mitzvah. For Talia's party design she wanted something really enchanting with a Moroccan theme. The preview of the Moroccan Bat Mitzvah was first seen by the guests when they received a custom embroidered metallic gold round box, with a floating HAMSA shaped acrylic invitation created by Rachel Jane Couture Invitations. Guests also got a sneak peak into the color palette, not your traditional bright tones..sherberty and subdued. Thank you to White Lilac for this elegant transformation of the Mar Vista Ballroom...the space was mesmerizing! It was fun to have the Moroccan spin in an uncommon softer tone of sherbets, aqua, mint greens, gold, mango and pinks. Sweet clusters of flower arrangements mixed with lanterns, candles and hanging silk parasols from the ceiling were the fab details that added to the ambiance. It was all the girly touches that were a true reflection of Talia's style. The teenagers had a blast in their lounge area, which included hot pink sofas and bean bag chairs. They had fun being in a special area away from the adults, and could got super comfy just hanging! The entertainment for the party included a snake charmer, a fortune teller, surf simulators, air brush T-shirts, a photo booth, a henna artist, and belly and candle dancers! Talia came out for her Grand Entrance with the candle dancers to pump out the guests and increase the energy. Dancing was a blast for all! Shout out to James Gang for the great performance, and Cerritos All Stars for spinning the tunes. Everyone loves busting out their signature moves to "Gangnam Style"!
