Chelsea & Omid’s Wedding Featured in Aroos Magazine

We are delighted to see our very own, Chelsea, and her husband Omid’s wedding featured in the Winter 2011/2012 Aroos Magazine. Chelsea & Omid got married at Pelican Hill and had two wedding ceremonies that day to incorporate both of their cultures. Their sofreh ceremony was in Pelican’s La Capella Ballroom (specailly designed by Omid’s Mother, Ashley) and their 2nd ceremony was out on the Event Lawn (you got to love the hanging chandeliers)! The wedding was planned by Jeannie and designed by Sunny at White Lilac. Chelsea and Omid selected a color scheme of whites, silvers, and mink to keep the room in mainly cool tones, warm and inviting. I loved the manzanita trees with hanging glass orbs, crystals, and gardenias, which added a touch of a modern feel to the room. Shout out to Triplecord Photography for these lovely photos and Elysium Productions for creating the awesome wedding video. DJ Mike Soltani kept the party going with the tunes going all night! Thank you to Nichelle with Details a la Carte for creating their invitations and paper goods. It was fun for our team to see this feature as Chelsea looked absolutely radiant and glowed with happiness on her big day!

Sweet Treats from Wonderland Bakery

With wedding season coming up around the corner, it is time to start thinking about Wedding Showers! We had the pleasure of meeting Sandy at Wonderland Bakery and wanted to share some of their cute sweet treats. Wonderland Bakery is located in Newport Beach and features cookies, cupcakes, and cakes! These treats would be great as a favor at your wedding or shower. Their speciality is their photo/logo sugar cookies, which can include a logo, monogram, or picture. I thought that their baby inspired cupcakes would be a cute dessert display for a baby shower. They also provide cookie decorating classes for little kid birthday parties! Have fun checking out their website and seeing their different dessert options at: www.wonderlandbakery.com

Pastel Wedding Photo Shoot at Coordinator Confab

We are honored to see our Pastel Wedding Photo Shoot from our second Coordinator Confab seminar featured on The Wedding Chicks blog yesterday! It was such a great photo shoot with many talented vendors behind the scenes. We had the photo shoot at the SLS Hotel where we held Coordinator Confab (such a fun and unique venue), and had the table outdoors on the Garden Terrace. We can’t thank Sunny and the crew at White Lilac enough for all the amazingness they did designing and creating the tabletop decor. Inspired by the pretty pastel colors of mint green, sky blue, pale pink, and soft yellow, White Lilac put their heart and soul into this shoot wrapping and decorating all the adorable presents across the table! Sunny ordered about 500 colorful macaroons to go on the colorful cake stands…which made for a pretty decor element and yummy dessert after dinner. Not only did White Lilac provide us with the sweet design, their very own Yasmine, was our gorgeous model for the day! Yasmine wore a wedding dress designed by Dawn Kim with Atelier and was glammed up with hair and makeup done by the talented, Berit with Makeup by Berit. Shout out to our photographer, Mike Colon for capturing all the fun details on the shoot (Mike Colon rocks!). Thanks to Elaine with Papermade Designs for creating the paper goods…we loved the watercolor ombre and lace details! Kudos to Steven with Chiavari Chair Rentals, and Revelry Event Designers for the rental furniture! We can’t forget the ombre cake made by Vanilla Bake Shop, and the ombre soaps for the guest favors that just tied in the wedding theme perfectly.

We had an amazing time at Coordinator Confab and enjoyed working on this photo shoot tabletop for all our attendees. Thanks to everyone for being a part of making Coordinator Confab and this photo shoot so memorable!

Nicole & Perry’s Wedding at The Montage Laguna Beach

Nicole & Perry’s love is sweet, and when it came to their wedding, they wanted to have a beautiful yet charming wedding at the Montage in Laguna Beach. Nicole and Perry loved the ocean view setting (who can resist the beauty) and the warm ambiance at the Montage. The decided to complement the venue by choosing wedding design that had a touch of the beach feel, but was also soft and romantic. White Lilac Inc. was the perfect fit for their floral & event designer and they picked a color palette that was refreshing and clean in shades of white, cream, blue, green and brown. The bridesmaids bouquets were fun doing separate styles for each gal, but using flowers incorporated in the wedding. To soften up the Ballroom for their wedding they decided to drape the room, add a natural wash look for the lighting, and keep the centerpieces at the guest tables low and lush. I am a big fan of the tuscany chiavari chairs they picked, as it goes perfectly with the overall look. Another fun touch they added to the ballroom was the large mirrors they had laying against the draping…gorgeous! Thank you to Jessica Claire for capturing all the joy during their wedding!

Angeli & Rishi’s Engagement Party

Angeli & Rishi make a gorgeous couple and it was fun working with Angeli’s family on their engagement party! Angeli & Rishi both have big families and it was fun to bring their family and friends together in honor of their engagement. There was so much eye candy at the party with all the beautiful saris worn by the women. All the different colors and intricate details were just stunning…loved the jewelry, too!

Guests enjoyed meeting for a cocktails and mingling on the entry level of the house and then moved downstairs for dinner and dancing (and boy this group knows how to dance)! Everyone enjoyed yummy Indian food catered by Manohar with Delhi Palace…I couldn’t resist the fresh made naan! Shout out to Steve and Harry with The Black Napkin for being the awesome serving and bar tending staff for the evening! Also, thank you to Melissa with Belle Amie Photography for sharing the engagement photos! I am looking forward to their wedding this summer!

Lee’s 60th Birthday Party at Pelican Hill

As much as we LOVE weddings, it is fun to switch it up and work on other events, too! Jeannie and I worked with Shirleen to create a fun-filled 60th birthday bash/retirement party for her husband, Lee, at the Resort at Pelican Hill. Shirleen really wanted this party to be all about Lee, as he never makes anything about him, and she had lots of fabulous ideas for her husband’s party theme. Lee’s company is Antimite Termite and Pest Control and it was only natural that the birthday party colors to be the company colors of red, white, and blue. We had guests arrive to the Mar Vista Lounge for a cocktail hour that was themed in red and white and then moved inside the Mar Vista Ballroom for the dinner reception in blue, white, and touches of red. We loved the table decor created by White Lilac Inc! They did a great job doing a tasteful job of decor using the colors of red, white and blue. One of the highlights of the Birthday Party was the toasts from Shirleen, co-workers, and family members…very comical and heartfelt! After dinner there was a surprise revealing of the casino tables in the Sunroom and guests enjoyed playing Black Jack, Roulette, and Craps while also dancing the night away on the dance floor (Shout out to Best Casino Events)! Towards the end of the party Lee’s surprise birthday cake was wheeled out to the middle of the dance floor. The birthday cake was a replica of a house getting tented with the Antimite tent and was filled with details such as the company logo, and engravings in the cement. The cake was too funny…Lee didn’t even want to have it cut! Kudos to Sara Heslington with Heslington Cakes for creating such a cool cake! There were was lots of laughter and love in the room that night and we were happy to be part of this celebratory event! Thank you to Shirleen for being such a pleasure to work with and a big congrats to Lee on his retirement!

Natasha & Fred’s Wedding at The London West Hollywood, featured on Style Me Pretty

It was fun seeing Natasha & Fred’s wedding featured this week on Style Me Pretty! Here is a little bit about their special day at The London West Hollywood!

Natasha and Fred, living thousands of miles apart, her in China and him in New York, planning a destination wedding in Los Angeles at The London West Hollywood. You would have to have a fun easy going personality to pull off long distance anything, and Natasha was all that. One of the sweetest, sincerest people I have met, with a generous heart and relinquished trust to all those she met. She gave Carissa with JL Designs and I great freedom, to create a modern crisp chic rooftop wedding. Natasha swooned over grey pumpkins! And how fitting for an October wedding as they were in season just weeks before her date. Table tops featured light grey and white chain link pattern runners, with ceramic white vases, cream and white flowers, grey succulents, fuzzy dusty miller leaves, and pop of eggplant callas and burgundy dahlias. A letterpress invite cotton paper was created by Nichelle from Details A La Carte who went bananas over the type font and off center layout. “Eat Drink and be married” menu cards adorned each place setting with chocolate truffles and succulent accents. The best gift, was Natasha’s sister made their wedding cake and cupcake desserts! I LOVE their photos by Jan Garcia Photography. Jan truly captured the beauty of the couple and the fun details of the wedding!
