I wanted to share these custom garters created by La Gartier! It was cool to hear that Atlanta based designer/owner of La Gartier, Sarah Dobson, had inspired one of her customer’s garters off of a past Details Details wedding she had seen on our blog! La Gartier creates unique garters that are made with love for each Bride. With so many different styles and personalities that go into weddings, custom garters could make an adorable gift! Also a fun way to tie in that “something blue” on the wedding day or one of the wedding colors. If your style is glamourous, vintage, girly, punk rock, nautical, modern or you name it, La Gartier can create! Thank you to Sarah Dobson for sending us a garter inspired by our Details Details weddings. Monique and Mike make a beautiful couple and we wanted to share their wedding featured in the Spring 2012 issue of Destination I Do Magazine! Their wedding took place at the St. Regis Monarch Beach, which was an intimate celebration with their close family and friends. The ceremony was outdoors on the Gazebo Lawn followed by a reception in Club 19, that was part in doors and out doors, with gorgeous views of the manicured golf course and Pacific Ocean. Big kudos to Jasmine Star for photographing these pretty pics (you rock girl!), and R. Jack Balthazar for the flowers and decor. I loved the simple color palette of white, creams, grey and hints of blue. Shout out to gourmetinvitations.com for the lovely paper goods! We are happy to share that West Hollywood has a new Wedding Boutique, Lovely. I found Lovely Bridal Shop featured recently on Style Me Pretty, and I knew I wanted to share the find! What can I say, us Details Details gals love our fashion, and of course all things BRIDAL! A little bit about Lovely boutique is that it originated in 2010 in New York and ever since has been a big hit with Brides! They wanted to expand Lovely to all the West Coast Brides and decided to open up their next wedding boutique in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles boutique happens to be in one of our favorite areas of town…West Hollywood…and is located on Robertson Boulevard in the midst of some other fabulous shops and restaurants! Lovely carries wedding gowns and accessories and prides itself on the boutique’s modern and fresh feel (don’t plan on seeing your Grandmother’s dress maker). I think their website is adorable, and their collections fit well with the whole California feel. Their style tends to have a little more of a Bohemian edge, but they have a lot of fabulous classic designs, too! I wanted to share Tommy’s Bar Mitzvah that took place at the Smog Shoppe in Los Angeles. For any of you that haven’t seen the Smog Shoppe, it is a super cool venue, and it is a great setting for a Bar Mitzvah! I loved the eclectic and urban vibe of the venue, and jazzed up with White Lilac’s design…it was just perfect for Tommy. Tommy is really into tennis, so Sunny from White Lilac took his love of the sport and created a vintage tennis theme for the party. One of my favorite aspects of the decor, was the tennis rackets and balls that were strung across the outside section. Another favorite would have to be the tee shirt favors passed out to all the teens at the party. It was a big hit and a fun memento! The invitation and paper goods created by Rachel Baker with Rock Paper Scissors Design was just too cool! The little details through paper goods really make a big impact on tying the theme of the party together. A huge shout out to Good Gracious Catering. Their menu and catering was fantastic. Thinking about all the food at the Bar Mitzvah makes my mouth water! Thank you Charlie Star for taking all the photos. These photos capture the beauty of the Tommy’s celebration! It was such a pleasure working with the Kendall Family on Tommy’s Bar Mitzvah…such a warm and amazing group of people! I am looking forward to working with them for Tommy’s sister’s Bat Mitzvah 2013.

We are happy to see Jeannie’s past wedding at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel featured in Flower Magazine! Shout out to Kate with Flowerwild for designing these flower arrangements and creating all the decor pieces. I loved the color palette and the romantic, garden style wedding. Belinda & Stephen make a gorgeous couple and we wanted to share some of their engagement photos. They planned on doing their engagement photos at Pelican Hill, but leave it to the unpredictable rain which switched up their game plan. The rain died down and Belinda & Stephan decided to continue their photos in an open field. How fun details were the umbrellas? So clever…if you ever get to meet Belinda, she is a sharp cookie! Hilarious too! It was a spontaneous idea that turned out so cute! Shout out to Chenin Boutwell Photography…looking forward to working together on their wedding!

Our very own Details Details Bride and Groom, Meghan and Andrew, were featured in Smitten Magazine’s March/April 2012 issue. They had their wedding at the St. Regis Resort in Monarch Beach California with an elegant theme with soft white, sand, blue, and gray colors. The bride had a gorgeous mermaid gown designed by Vera Wang that went beautifully with her bouquet of all white orchids. They had dinner outside…dancing under the stars on a summer night, and they didn’t stop letting loose once the band was done. Definitely had a fun After Party where the groom spontaneously performed with the band an unscripted performance to the song “Safety Dance.” How fun!

I am fortunate to have such amazing clients with great talents! One of my couples this year, Elise and Chris, put together such a cool Save the Date! I wanted to share their Save the Date as it is a great reflection of the couple and their creativeness. While dating, Chris had filmed various trips that Elise and him had been on, and Elise was able to edit the footage to create the Save the Date DVD. Shout out to the photographers, The Hendershotts, for all the DVD photos, and Elise’s makeup artist, Violeta Meyers, for making Elise picture perfect. Stay tuned for Elise and Chris to tie the knot this Fall! I am looking forward to it!
