Maretha & Andy’s Wedding Featured in The Knot

We are happy to share that Maretha & Andy’s Wedding was featured in The Knot Spring 2012 issue! Maretha & Andy had a gorgeous wedding at the St. Regis Monarch Beach with their ceremony at the Pacific Lawn followed and dreamy reception in the Monarch Ballroom. Maretha picked a soft color palette of pink, yellow, and white to set a romantic mood, which was also very feminine. Event Designer, Sunny with White Lilac, created all the decor and flower arrangements…one of my favorite elements was the wall backdrop behind the sweetheart table of paper flowers inspired by Maretha’s favorite iconic brand, Chanel. Shout out to John Hong with John and Joseph Photography for capturing these photos! Be sure to get a copy of the magazine to read more about the feature!

Brooke + Chris Engagement

Brooke and Chris are one great looking couple which can be seen here in their engagement photos taken at the Viceroy Santa Monica. Thanks again to Victor Sizemore who did a great job capturing the love between these two. Brooke is all about the details… it has been so fun seeing all of her “Pins” and receiving their Save the Date. Brooke was unable to find anyone who could create exactly what she envisioned so she made her Save the Dates by hand and let me tell you, they are amazing! Stay tuned to see what she comes up with at their upcoming summer wedding at Pelican Hill.

White Lilac designing CONFAB 2012 Table Top Shoot… AGAIN!

Remember the beautiful table top design for our CONFAB shoot this past July?  Here’s a quick refresher:

Well, this gorgeous tablescape was designed and produced by the lovely Sunny Ravanbach of White Lilac Inc. and fortunately for us, Sunny will be designing our table top shoot AGAIN for CONFAB 2012!! We are so grateful that Sunny will be producing our CONFAB 2012 design, as her work truly is one of a kind and she is definitely the very best in the industry!  Sunny will also be joining us for Dinner on Day 2 so you will all get a chance to meet and chat with Sunny too!

Sunny and her team at White Lilac run a comprehensive design studio specializing in large-scale parties, exclusive weddings, unparalleled corporate functions, and intimate soirees.  She is regarded as one of the finest event designers in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas and is somewhat of a celebrity in the wedding industry.  Sunny makes very few appearances at industry events so we are VERY grateful that she will be joining us for CONFAB yet again.

Shoot This Not That by Grey Likes Weddings Seminar

About a month ago, I was invited to be a guest at dinner at the Shoot This Not That seminar put on by Summer Grey of Grey Likes Weddings….the style shoot was adorbs! The reason I want to feature this is because of two vendors who put their heart and soul into the table….Fayaz with Bloombox Designs and Elaine with Papermade Design. Big Rah Rah for such awesome creative work. I swooned over the invite…can you tell its a water color ombre, the soft gradation of color….HOW PRETTY! And oh Fayaz, he went bananas with the props, you think we were in the Hamptons! Just darling…and then I briefly met Janel who sent me the cutest photos. I swear her photos are AWESOME!

Have you seen the work of Papermade Design?

Great News! The very talented and creative Elaine Chou from Papermade will be designing the paper goods for our CONFAB style shoot (Again!) This will be Elaine’s second time being a part of CONFAB and we are thrilled to have to back with us. In addition, Elaine will also be joining us for dinner on Day 2 and you will all get a chance to meet and chat with this paper good genius! This is what she created for Confab 2011.

Papermade is the brainchild of designer, Elaine Chou. Derived from the word “handmade”, Papermade was built on the aesthetics of hand-drawn illustrations and whimsical hand-lettering. Specializing in correspondence, their invitations are printed on luxurious cotton paper and designed by Elaine herself. Check out the adorable Papermade website www.papermadedesign.com

Modern Ketubah Designs by Jennifer Raichman

If you’re looking for a modern Ketubah design for your wedding, check out designs from Urban Collective! Sisters Wendy and Jennifer collaborated to create these Ketubah designs that are far from traditional and oh so cute! Urban Collective uses the work of Naomi Shiek, who does the gorgeous paper-cut designs for some of the Ketubahs. Her intricate paper-cut overlays add an elegant touch to the designs. We loved the work featured on the Oh So Beautiful Paper Blog. To see the blog feature check out: ohsobeautifulpaper.com/2011/09/modern-ketubah-designs-from-urban-collective-by-jennifer-raichman/

Danielle and James featured on Bridal Bar Blog

We are thrilled to see very own Details Details Bride and Groom, Danielle and James featured on the Bridal Bar blog! What’s unique about this special occasion is that Danielle and James didn’t choose one accent color for their wedding .. they chose them all! They had a Colorful California Wedding with all of the colors of the rainbow, creating a cheerful and vibrant atmosphere. The Bridesmaids wore different color dresses and even the bride’s sparkly Kate Spade shoes were multicolored! The rest of the ceremony decor was kept simple so that the bride’s bouquet and her bridesmaid’s dresses could be the primary source of color. Fun colorful lanterns were hung above their Cocktail Hour location with flowers and vases in different colors, shapes and sizes on the cocktail tables. Thank you to Bloom Box Designs for the cheerful flower arrangements and other decorations including the M&M and straw filled vases. Their wedding took place at the Terranea Resort with their reception in the Catalina Room. It was transformed into a room full of fun and playful arrangements of flowers and sweets that contained all the colors of the spectrum. The guests must have felt like kids in a candy store!
