I loved working with Kelly & James, they are both amazing people and together make a great couple. When you meet Kelly & James you instantly notice their charismatic personalities. They are just as charming in person as they look in their photographs. I love Kelly’s cool/funky style (especially her crazy nail polish colors) and James’ lovely accent.

Kelly & James had a true destination wedding with guests coming from the east coast and all the way from the UK! They got married at the Montage in Laguna Beach…the perfect California beach setting.

When two people from the entertainment industry get married, you know it will be a fun time! Nicole and Mark’s wedding vision was to have a beachy, outside wedding, where all their guests could have the California experience. Nicole and Mark got married at the Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel, which was the perfect beach setting with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and a cool ocean breeze. Their ceremony and dinner reception took place outside, while the after party moved indoors.

Christopher with Fiori Fresco created the ultimate beach chic setting. The design was light and airy, and people were able to relax while they enjoyed all the fun. From the Champagne Angel, girls wearing large flower hats (passing out pashminas), girls in LED costumes (handing out chocolates), and a bubble girl floating in the pool, there was something entertaining everywhere you looked! After dinner and dancing to the music of Red Loquita, guests were moved inside for more treats. It was during the after party where people played beer pong, enjoyed the sweets table, and an Inn and Out Truck satisfied anyone who had the late night munchies. Denise & Jerome wed in July at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes. The Terranea has breathtaking views, and was the perfect location for Denise & Jerome’s ceremony & dinner reception. Both Jerome & Denise have a modern style and wanted a clean and chic wedding. Shawna Yamamoto was the perfect event designer for their wedding, adding interesting touches to the decor and wedding personals. Shawna came up with the design theme of industrial chic, which was the perfect atmosphere for this couple!

Some of my favorite design elements of the wedding were the interesting wedding personals. I loved the uniqueness of the bridesmaids bouquets, which started as flat discs and were covered with flowers in a beidemier design. The flower girls were joined by their wrists with pearl wristlets attached to an open lei. Denise’s wedding colors of sage green, coral/orange, and white perfectly complemented their modern atmosphere. All the decor elements looked so cheerful and fun!

Anyone who knows Denise knows that this girl can dance! The dinner reception was a fun time by all…it took about 2 seconds to get this group onto the dance floor. Jeff and Jonathan from Cerritos All Stars kept the party going till the end of the night!

Jin & Eden with Sam Lim Studio captured some beautiful pictures of Denise & Jerome’s wedding. Jerome had a great idea of giving their parents iPads with uploaded photos of their wedding day. Jin & Eden helped upload the photos onto the iPads during the reception, and they were able to give the gifts before the reception was over! It is amazing how cool & fast technology is! I know their parents will love looking at the photos as it was a beautiful day filled with beautiful people.

We have had such amazing design opportunities in the past few years and look forward to beginning wedding season 2011.

Gracie & Kyle were married on a sunny summer day at the Montage in Laguna Beach. Gracie & Kyle knew that the Montage was the perfect location to get married, not just because it is beautiful, but it was actually the spot they first laid eyes on each other. Gracie & Kyle met in the hot tub at the Montage, and their joke is that the Montage angels were present that day. At the end of the reception, they gave out apple green striped towels and asked guests to join them at the pool and hot tub the following day.

Shades of peach, coral and green made a fun and summery atmosphere! The bridesmaids’ bouquets had little birds tucked into the flowers, and both Gracie’s bouquet and Kyle’s boutonniere had touches of feathers. Sunny with White Lilac transformed the ceremony site and ballroom into a dream. The capped table cloths were girly and beautiful, stunning Sunny! Everyone walked in and screamed, “oh the room is so Gracie”. I loved the personalized gobo on the white seamless dace floor by Platinum Pro. Their dance floor was filled by all their guests as they rocked out all night long to West Coast Music’s Side Effect. This group loved the live music!

Gracie has great taste; she found the coral bridesmaids dresses herself…so darn cute! We designed the paper goods to match the coral dresses. Nichelle from Details A La Carte, created a four petal rose, clover like for the monogram as Gracie loves that design from LV and also wanted a modern monogram. Gracie looked stunning in her Vera Wang dress, which was the perfect style for her California wedding. The rosettes on her dress were inspiration for the design of their wedding cake created by Linda at The Cake Studio.
