It has been a privilege of mine to have known Joel & Jeni Maus for years. They are such a great couple and team, and I am happy to share one of Jeni’s business adventures! Sally & Mark wed at the lush Rancho Las Lomas this past spring. They got a little bit of rain on their big day, but everyone was comfortable as we tented the outdoor ceremony. Photo & video were able to get lots of great shots throughout the day, shooting at both the Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel & Rancho Las Lomas.  It was a romantic affair, with lots of soft looking flowers in blush, creams and pale yellow. Thanks to Living Cinema for sharing their lovely wedding with us!

Julie & Dan got married at The Ritz Carlton in Laguna Niguel on a picturesque day! I loved their wedding colors…so cheerful and sweet!  We posted their petite sweets dessert table, which was a yummy treat for all guests dancing the night away. Elysium showed their Same Day Edit during the reception for everyone to enjoy! Thanks for sharing this SDE to all of us!

A past client decide to surprise her husband and take him away to Napa along with his family and closest friends for his 60th birthday! She secretly sent their guests, custom wine bottle invitations, in wood crates. All made by Rachel Baker of Rock Paper Scissors Design. They hosted all the guests to stay at the beautiful Meadowood Napa Valley, in St. Helena. Tranquil treeline views…stunning. They were welcomed by Tory Burch towel, embroidered with each guests names. Guests dined outdoors and enjoyed smores and cigars in front of the fireplace. It was also the son’s birthday on day one, while grandpa’s birthday was the week before. Thanks to Pat’s Fridays Flowers for creating the arrangements for both nights, perfect colors and texture for each locationBirthday boy had his official dinner the next night at Cindy’s Backstreet Kitchen in downtown St. Helena, recently seen on Bobby Flay’s show. The oysters appetizers and pork chops were delicious! But the private dining room upstairs was the perfect place to Roast and Toast the b-day boy!

Julie from Elysium was so kind to share Kellan & Brandon’s Arthouse Feature! Julie writes:
You may remember Kellan & Brandon from their Same Day Edit featured earlier this year. Well here is their magical day in all its entirety. The all white florals were designed by Sunny at White Lilac and Jeannie Savage did a fabulous job planning the wedding. Victor Sizemore photographed the day beautifully. Despite the rainy weather we were able to get some absolutly stunning shots outside after their ceremony. Kellan & Brandon also has a super cool Shoutoutbooth where guests could leave video messages and take pictures! All in all it was a great evening with a party atmosphere (After all Kellan & Brandon went to ASU…would you expect anything less?) Everyone had an incredible time…including us! Check it all out!

Kelly and Jimmy are a sweet fun hilarious couple…I say hilarious cause they both have great senses of humor. Kelly is brilliant PHD! But never boasts about her achievements as she is laid back and super hip and stylish. While Jimmy with his British accent can get away with saying anything, but it’s always funny, I promise. I am excited about their wedding and the charismatic energy the couple will bring.

We are offering a new concept to the Petite Sweets Table….rather than just providing candy, we are working the hotel’s pastry team to create an fabulous dessert/candy table. On this table, we worked with the Ritz Carlton in Laguna Niguel, on creating a yummy and beautiful table. We selected desserts in yellow and white…to my surprise, the passion fruit marshmellows were to die for! My favorites were the macaroons, in any flavor or actually the butter cookies, drizzled in a lemon icing! We wanted all the desserts to be mini, from cupcakes, to creme brule to rice krispies and shortbread butter cookies, you name it! So it won’t be one of the Details Details girls but a dedicated pasty stylist who we are partnering with to come and set up the table. So you can have a dessert table stylist, order props, rentals including backdrop, jars, cake stands, bags, tags, tongs, etc. If the venue that the wedding is at cannot provide mini desserts, we can also provide desserts, from edible cheesecake bites, to fruit tartlets, strawberry shortcakes, brownies, anything sweet!

Julie and Dan have moved to Maryland by now but I had the pleasure of planning the wedding with Julie while she was still in LA. Julie was open minded to color combinations and loved the yellow and gray combination, as it reminded her of sun and summer. Their wedding took place at the Ritz Carlton in Laguna Niguel in June and it was a warm, but not hot day…it was perfect weather. The room was lit up in a light yellow while the grey linens mellowed out the bright and buttery flowers. Nisie from Enchanted Florist surprised us all with her magic and getting yellow peonies the week of the wedding, as they opened, the orange centered popped with a splash of color. Our Nichelle, Details A La Carte, created custom invites, with the sophisticated Ritz Carlton in mind, girly too….had to be, just like Julie.
