Sweet & Whimsical, Terranea Wedding

Can’t wait to share this wedding with you, as Valerie and Jason wed last month at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church which was absolutely gorgeous. Valerie was gorgeous, in her Jimmy Choos and two wedding gowns. They got ready at the stylish London Hotel in LA and had their reception later that evening at the beautiful Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes. With a seasoned manager Tracy Koven, she guided us with the delicious cuisine opportunities including late night milk shakes. They wanted something timeless but fun, whimsical but still “PRETTY”. Enlisted the talented Sunny of White Lilac to put together the fun color combination of sunshine yellow and grey. Adding in the butterflies was her idea and the perfect invitation set with multiple graphic elements in which challenged cake expert Linda of the Cake Studio to incorporate it into multiple tiers. Thanks Valerie and Jason for allowing us to have creative freedom, which all of us (venders) appreciated and in the end, felt prideful and personal with the end result. And big applause to Samuel who knows how to capture it all!

Melissa & Matt Engagement

Melissa & Matt are a sweet couple and really appreciate the loved ones in their lives. To reflect themselves in the engagement shoot Melissa and Matt wanted Matt’s son, Alex, to be a part of the shoot, along with their dog. Their wedding is coming up this weekend in Malibu, and we are so grateful that there will be no rain! John with John and Joseph Photography had a nice time shooting their engagement. We can’t wait to see the photos of their intimate wedding.

Tallia & Gil-Hollywood Romance

Tallia & Gil wanted an engagement shoot to reflect their personalities and decided that the best place to take their photos was in their old stomping grounds. Hollywood was the perfect location since they have created lots of memories together from living in the heart of all the excitement. Tallia & Gil dressed very glamorous and their photos turned out great! I am looking forward to their upcoming wedding this summer at the Montage in Laguna Beach. Thanks to Sarah for sharing her lovely photos with us!

Mike & Monique in Laguna Beach

Jasmine Star has sunch an inspirational blog. Since she posted her engagement session with Mike & Monique, I thought I would share what she wrote. Jasmine writes:

It’s been said that women possess certain characteristics that can make a man stop in his tracks and notice–quite possibly–she sparkles. Not literally, but in this invisible way that draws him into her gravitational pull and ciricle her with delight and intrique. Monique is one of those girls. Just ask Mike.

They were introduced by friends out one night while in Arizona. Monique chatted with Mike and with every syllable, she called into a different part of Mike’s soul. Yes, this girl sparkled. When she asked if he’d like to join her the following day for a sporting event, he casually agreed. You like sports, don’t you, she queried. He simply responded yes and then coyly smiled because she had no idea he was a professional baseball player. Monique and Mike hung out the following day. And the following day. And found the same pattern until they found themselves on a private tour of the Vatican months later when Mike dropped to his knee and proposed to Monique. Totally befitting, he gave the girl who sparkled a very sparkly ring.

Mike and Monique are marrying this July at the St. Regis Monarch Beach and I’m incredibly excited to work with them and Michelle of Details Details for a splendid day ringing in Independence Day. Yes, they’re marrying on the 4th of July and we expect a lot of sparks to fly! I had a blast shooting their Laguna Beach engagment session and I can’t wait to hang out again soon…

Thanks Jasmine for all the beautiful photos! Be sure to veiw her blog post and watch Mike & Monique’s slideshow.

Michelle & Tim’s Beachside Love

Michelle & Tim love California and enjoy its beautiful beaches! Michelle and Tim wanted to take photos right on the beach for their engagement shoot, and Jen with Photojenic captured many great photos during sunset. Their wedding will take place this upcoming weekend at the St. Regis Monarch Beach! Stay tuned for their wedding photos.

Singh in New York

Mona and Anuish were introduced one night through their mutual friends. Their friends thought that they would make a great match, but little did they know they would fall in love. Mona and Aunish make the perfect team and anyone could tell that they are just head over heels for each other. Aunish lives in New York and Mona lives in California, and both of them have a huge love for both cities. Their wedding will take place at the St. Regis, Monarch Beach, but they will live in New York after their wedding. Since their wedding photos will be taking place in California they decided to take their engagement photos in New York. Mona and Aunish make a hip and trendy couple and I am looking forward to their wedding with all their creative ideas!

Amy & Nick’s Same Day Edit

Julie from Elysium Productions writes: Amy and Nick had a beautiful wedding at the Ponte Winery in Temecula. With Earth Day quickly approaching, its only fitting that Amy (an eco-friendly bride) had organic and recycled elements incorporated into the details of her day and a gorgeous dress made of hemp silk. Shelly Wakefield of Details Details coordinated the day perfectly and Hoffmann Photography photographed the special day. Suzanne M. Smith Designs took their eco-friendly approach and designed the amazing organic florals. Enjoy Amy and Nicks Same Day Edit!
