Although the Rotunda at Pelican Hill is beautiful, not everyone wants to get married underneath it. Amy & Michael’s beautiful white wedding took place on the event lawn but had their ceremony facing west into the ocean and golf course. Sunny from White Lilac inc carried the same tones of white flowers were carried inside the ballroom as well, with large, lush flowers and orchids…accents of seashells and sand, with touches of white beach lanterns. All with the foundation of sand and dark mocha linens. Just adored the cake, maybe it was the adorable birds that nestled on the top layer. Letter pressed invitations and menu cards, set the another tone of sophistication.

It’s a treat for me to see the endless possibilities of wedding décor used in our Details Details weddings. I love decorative pillows, and these retro pillow covers made by lindylou2 off of etsy are just too fun. These pillows really jump out in a room, but also add comfort and relaxation to the atmosphere. These pillow covers would be great to use in a wedding if you are adding lounge furniture and creating a spot for your guests to relax and socialize. There is a large assortment of different pillow covers, coming in different patterns and colors, which could coordinate wonderfully to the theme of your wedding. Also a great idea as a unique gift!

Bright, fun, and filled with culture, Praem and Cherryle a wedding that all guests will not forget. This wedding at the Hyatt in Huntington Beach was spectacular with the Bride looking radiant in her Indian dress and breathtaking jewels. Indian weddings are full of color, and intense with plenty of flowers. Sunny from White Lilac understood exactly what they wanted, a Vibrant & Rich colors: eggplant, fuchsia, cantaloupe, lavishly decorated mundap for the ceremony, enchanting and seductive reception with lots of lanterns, candles and paisley patterned pomander balls.. My favorite parts are always the procession with the animals and their case, an elephant. A very lucky symbol in their culture. I have known this couple for awhile and I am honored to have been part of this day for them.

Jenny and Jake’s wedding was truly beautiful at the St. Regis Resort in Dana Point.  Their intimate ceremony was held at the Botanical Lawn while the reception was adjacent in Club 19. Dining outside was important to them and having the ocean as a backdrop was refreshing. Dancing and cake was held indoors of Club 19, after sunset. The decor was rich and tropical with all of the purple, red, and green hues to set the atmosphere. Thanks to Linnae at Asiel Desings for creating all the floral elements and Joel for capturing all the details for them.

Ok, we are a little behind on this one….you saw their video awhile back.  This wedding at the Resort at Pelican Hill was perfectly light and airy.  As you can see from the photos the happy couple, Betty and Ivan, looked like they had a blast dancing away and enjoying the night with their guests.  I love the simplicity of the white flowers and natural leaves for the décor, which added lots of peace to the wedding.  Of course their favorite pals, the two dogs, had to be there for this special moment. They were very well behaved all day.  Aaron was great at working Betty as she knew exactly how to pose like a model (It’s cause she is one!)

I wanted to blog about escort cards after seeing many great ideas used by our Details Details Brides. Escort cards can defiantly add something extra to your reception and pull the whole ambiance of the room together. Escort cards are a great idea since there are lots of ways to do them with a small or large budget. Escort cards can also serve two purposes, one as an escort card to assign guests to tables and one as a favor. Escort cards can be as simple as a tented card or flat card with an embellishment such as a ribbon or crystal. Or, escort cards can be tied to rope, clipped on ribbons trailing down, or attached to a party favor. Also, the way you place the card can make a statement. Try tucking your escort card in wheat grass, a flower bed or sand. Let your imagination run wild, who said the escort card needs to be on paper? You can write names on stones or sand dollars.

This is actually more of an extended highlights than a trailer, but you get the idea! It was a an absolutely stunning day at Pelican Hill and I loved the color combo this couple chose for their wedding (very unique!) Sunny from White Lilac did an incredible job on the unique decor.

You will see that they had a traditional tea ceremony earlier in the day, in which Chris and the groomsmen had to make great efforts to get into Chris into the room to see his future wife: they sang, answered trivia, gave a thick red envelope, and even ate some really hot peppers!
