Look at this gorgeous couple….Janice and Bolaji were married at the Montage a few weeks ago. The earrings that you see on Janice’s ear was a gift given to her by Bolaji. But don’t get jealous girls just yet, she gave reciprocated and gave Bolaji a beautiful Rolex…what memorable wedding day gifts. Generous with gifts, as they are generous gracious people….they were generous with their love. They have know each other since high school. It was great to flip through their photo book that Janice’s mom made, they had pictures of them at Sadie Hawkins dance! Details coming soon, but I have to say, I think those were the most comfortable bridal shoes I have seen in a long time.  And check out the Nigerian outfits and hats, I had to add to this post as they were so beautiful to see.

Genevieve and Geoff were married at the Resort at Pelican Hill and invited many friends and family from out of state to join them for a festive weekend. Bright summer colors were transcended into Genevieve’s floral and gorgeous very flattering bridesmaids dresses was the foundation to the invites and garden roses. Loved their wedding cake, one of my favorites this year….I have a tendency to choose sugar made flowers, something delicate, and time consuming to make, so soooo– appreciated by folks like me.  Their ring bearer was a doll….what a charmer he was, those curly locks!

The wedding at St. Regis Resort in Dana Point was a destination wedding for Anthea and Simon, who met at work…at American Express in the East Coast. Creative designers at R. Jack Balthazar chose creams, blush pink to rich deep pink, aubergine and used various glass containers. Large mercury hurricane candle holders along with ceramic elements. Their Invites were done in Singapore—silk paneled letterpress. They had a dance floor that was packed all night while guests jumped in and out of the LA Party Booth. Guests took home 4 x 6 snapshots of themselves donned in silly accessories/ costumes/ props.

Look at the city lights! Being on the roof top of San Diego’s Hard Rock Hotel is breath taking. Jennifer and Craig were married earlier in the day at the Immaculata, one of my fav churches in SD. But the antithesis of a Catholic Church wedding is a party in the Rock Star suites at Hard Rock. You can flow from one suite to the roof top, to another suite. Fun food stations filled one corner of the roof top. I included the photo of one of the dishes that surprised me so, 2 kinds of watermelon with feta, it was so light refreshing for a really hot summer day. Color was beautiful and very tasty. There was also an amazing fireworks show, how lucky for all the guests. Thanks Kissee family, a fun loving family, with amazing women who support each other…makes me want sisters….I coordinated Jennifer’s mom’s wedding several years ago (Melanie and Bob- seen in pic below) and her cousin Christy’s wedding a couple years ago.
