Lots of fun with fashion in Orange County…Style Week OC is approaching before you know it! This year from Sept. 1st- Sept. 30th the fashion is coming to the Irvine Spectrum Center for lots of runway shows and sneak peaks of the hottest trends. Last year Style Week OC had its first fashion week and it was a huge success. This summer’s issue of Inside Weddings shows off 60 pages of stunning ceremonies and stylish receptions.  Jessica & Jesse who got married in July of 2008 were featured in this issue for their spectacular wedding at the Montage in Laguna Beach.  Wedding coordinator, Michelle Weita, did a fantastic job as you can see in the magazine.  This wedding had a whimsical feel as the twiggs and flowers made great touches to the decor.  This issue is on newstands now!

During many menu tastings, couples often want to see what the hors d’oeuvres would look like during the cocktail hour. Most of the time they are busy taking photos and will never get to see it unless the photographer’s assistant diligently gets every one. Here are some photos of some Perfect Pass items that can be selected at Pelican Hill.  I love how this venue does not throw 50 crab cakes onto one platter, each item is so well presented.  My favorite, Truffle Mac and Cheese!  Others shown, Crab Lady Bug, Beef Carpaccio with Spicy Mustard, Poached Prawn bloody Mary Shooters, Roasted Seasonal vegetables with olive oil and sea salt (did you see how finely chopped the veggies are!!) And I threw in the mix of photos, Rose infused vodka martini beverage, perfect for a light pink colored wedding.

Amy and Shawn were married on June 28 at the Langham Hotel in Pasadena, CA…in the beautiful Horseshoe Garden and Viennese Ballroom. We took into consideration the colors of the ballroom when designing their wedding. Amy loved a bridesmaids dress that was deep coral but didn’t want the entire wedding in this color. We softened it and decided on a cantaloupe as the ballroom had this peachy color in it’s carpet and sea foam green as the other accent color. And the walls of the Viennese Ballroom has a pale seafoam coloration..how perfect.

Custom invitations were done by Nichelle Details A La Carte which were seen throughout the wedding, ie favor tags, menu cards…it was the inspiration for the wedding cake as well. Seafoam blue wrapped containers filled with cream, ivory, cantaloupe, peach and coral flowers. Champagne linens was the perfect shade as we needed color on the table but not too much so it didn’t take away from the floral. Amy changed 2 times, into a red party dress and pink lace chi pao. Amy even wore a Details Details Gardenia Hair Clip..we started selling those hair clips years ago but never promoted it, LOL. Thanks Asiel Designs for creating the beautiful floral pieces…loved the fringed tulips, will add that to one of my favorite flower list.

The premiere issue of Serendipity is so lovely and features our clients, Jessica & Steve, at the St. Regis, Monarch Beach. Michelle Weita was the wedding coordinator of this beautiful wedding in October of 2007. The green and brown colors of the wedding gave the event a natural yet elegant feel.
