Brita and Ryan, Part I

Some of you may recognize Brita as she was a contestant on America’s Next Top Model years ago and in Fashion ads…so she was a natural for Victor Sizemore who shot the wedding.  Victor is doing a 2 part post so these are picks from his blog. He wrties: “Last weekend I shot an amazing wedding at a private villa in Punta de Mita, Mexico which is about 45 minutes outside Puerto Vallarta. Brita and Ryan were awesome to work with and just wanted everyone to have a great time. They had a very lively crowd with lots of fun entertainment throughout the evening including: Mariachi, Pinatas, a Tequila Bar, a Texas Southern Rock cover band, Neurotic City 80s singer, a rockin’ DJ, Fire Dancers, Gogo Dancers and more… Here are some shots of the bridal party before the ceremony and this week I’ll post all the amazing details from the party! Enjoy and stay tuned for Part II”

The weather was great, not too humid and I didn’t get burned…hoping for a slight tan, no luck.  Thanks to Christopher, Fiori Fresco for producing this spectacular wedding that lasted till 5AM!

Jennifer and Craig Engagement Session

Jennifer and Craig are getting married this summer, with a reception on the roof top of the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego.  I had the honor of coordinating Jennifer’s mom’s wedding a few year ago and her cousin too. I am grateful and honored and agree with Brant!

Brant writes: Jennifer and Craig were introduced to me through one of my past clients.  That is an incredible way to earn their business and I am really appreciative.

They chose one of San Diego’s most iconic locations to shoot their engagement images, Balboa Park.  I’ve said it again and again, the Park offers so much diversity all wrapped up in one convenient, easy to navigate location.  We made our way around the Park and captured all sorts of great shots.  And, with a little wardrobe change and a terrific pose, Jennifer & Craig helped create an image that is more a piece of art than a “picture”.   (2nd photo) Everything came together on this one and it turned out amazing!

The Twigs and Honey

I am in love with these birdcage veils…..check out Twigs & Honey!  ”Based out of Salem-Portland, Oregon and is the creative outlet of Myra Callan.  Myra’s graduate educational background focused on environmental, geographic, and atmospheric sciences and those themes can be found in her nature-inspired pieces. Completely self-taught, Myra continually strives to create innovative and exciting new designs that cater to all types of stylish ladies, brides, and even men. Just as a true scientist, Myra experiments with materials, color ways, and methods to develop fresh and ever-changing designs.

The Twigs & Honey line features hair adornments, headbands, birdcage veils, traditional veils, bridal jewelry, belts, boutonnieres, ring pillows, hats, shrugs, bouquets, corsages, and more! The line uses fine silks, feathers, laces, and vintage bits that result in completely unique adornments.”

Jeannie and Steve’s Highlights

As you know, this wedding is close to my heart as it’s “the other Jeannie’s” wedding. I loved loved the decor…soft, subtle, but so chic with the damask runners. It was definitely fun planning this with jeannie, if you think I am a perfectionist, you should meet her. I am so honored to know her and lucky she is part of the Details Details weekend team. Thanks Julie for the blog post so I could borrow it. Julie from Elysium writes:

Jeannie & Steve had a beautiful wedding at one of our favorite venues: The Hyatt Huntington Beach. It was cool to shoot alongside Jose Villa who is one of only a handful of photographers still shooting film. He’s so talented and super nice!  White Lilac provided the awesome floral decor (love them!) and the cake was done by the fabulous Grace from Sweet Gems.
