Have you been to Boulder Colorado?

I assume there are beautiful rocks and mountains and valleys but I will never know as I am deathly afraid of heights and will never stand at the edge of a cliff.   Loved the bridge shot too, but ummm no, scared of bridges too…I can 2 story buildings and that’s about it.

Victor Sizemore now knows Boulder as he went with Megan and Kyle for an engagement shoot in the city they both went to school. I heard it is really cold this time of year but Victor didn’t mind the cold when it came to football game time!  Here are some of my favs from Victor’s blog, Victor wrote: It was in Boulder, Colorado which is an awesome city and set in a very picturesque area. The mountains are amazing! Megan and Kyle met at CU and we even shot the second part of the session at a football game.

What is the Coolest job in the wedding industry?

I have always fancied Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine, who doesn’t!  I have thought in the past that the editor must have so much fun. She gets to look at cute and pretty things, plays with flowers, all day long, every day!!!    I was checking out Holly’s blog www.teardropweddings.com and found an adorable illustration of Darcy in a cute dress holding flowers.  Just looking at the card confirms that this has to be the coolest job in the wedding industry.   To order your own custom card or to check out Holly’s newest 2009 collection, log onto www.teardropweddings.com

Holly writes: I wanted to share with you this super cute stationery we designed for Darcy Miller of Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine! The illustration is based on a photo of her used for the summer issue of Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine!

Same Day Edit of Kendra and Mike

Same day edit means immediate gratification…it’s like buying a pair of cute shoes and walking out of the store with it on.

Here is the video of Kendra and Mike…you can see the 100 doves released during the ceremony. But one dove stayed behind and didn’t leave with the rest of the pack….Mother of the Groom Jan said it was Mike’s dad who was there with us in spirit.

Talented one and only Julie from Elysium Productions, created it on site within hours and we unveiled it with 6 plasma tvs hidden behind the drapes.

Erin and TJ Engagement

Erin and TJ live in Japan but grew up here in the states.  On one of their trips back to CA, they scheduled their engagement shoot with Victor.  I took these off of Victor’s blog….he posted:

“Last week I shot two killer engagement sessions and this was the first one in downtown LA. Erin and TJ had a two part engagement session; one at Rrivreworks, which is a prop house that does amazing set ups. We were going for a 40’s style shoot to use for their ‘Save the Dates’. Then after a break we finished up south of downtown around some warehouses and finally pulling in the skyline on the edge of dark. Their wedding should be an amazing event next year at the St. Regis! Here are a few of my favorites from the day, enjoy…”

Mirror mirror on the wall, Sarah is lovely and all

What a fairytale wedding this was at the St. Regis Monarch Beach…Sarah was stunning on her wedding day and so were her 9 bridesmaids, all decked out in Jenny Yoo dresses.  Prune was the IT color with shades of blush, mauve, lilac and silver/ mirror accents. We gave the hint of the wedding colors when guests received invitations on mirrored plexi glass.  The ceremony site (Colonnade structure embellished with floral) turned out amazing, but do not attempt this unless you have at least 9 hours to set up.

White carpet, white dance floor, set the stage for a clean palleate of eggplant linens and soft light floral trees. Three different centerpieces were used to created interest.  If you have a good eye, you may catch that the silver beadwork on the bodice of the dress is also on her cake.  Hundreds of hand made sugar flowers were tucked in between layers.

Silver sparkle chargers and rhinestone broaches adorned each napkin while blush menu cards matched the wine bottle labels. Tucker’s family is in the wine business so it was thoughtful and memorable to give a bottle of wine as their wedding favor.  They ordered extra so that they can open one up every year on their anniversary.
