Dana and Andrew’s Next Day Edit…talk about immediate gratification! Thanks Elysium Productions!
Diana and Oscar finally tied the knot after 10 years of dating…stay tuned for images of thier recent wedding. In the meantime, I couldn’t resist sharing some photos from their engagement session taken by the talented Victor Sizemore. They are such a beuatiful & fun couple and it definitely shows in these photos! Congratulations Diana & Oscar!
Virra & Ton travelled from Vegas to their home town of SoCal for their engagement session…what a great way to spend Father’s Day! Jasmine Star did an amazing job capturing the spirit of this couple. Baby Jaiden is so adorable…I can wait to see him as a little ring bearer in September
The Seattle couple Dana and Andrew, first met in Taiwan but reconnected in Los Angeles. Their lives brought them to Seattle but their wedding brought them down south. A beautiful daytime wedding of pastel pink and butter yellow blooms, adorned the Grand Lawn. This wedding reminds me of everything you would find in a Martha Stewart Magazine. Everything was just pretty! Pretty letterpress invitations (blogged in April) pretty flowers centerpieces, pretty pink linens, pretty Vera Wang bridesmaid dresses, pretty cake…and not so pretty but pretty cool Grooms Cake. It was an X-box, Andrew loves video games and heard he’s pretty amazing at it. Can I saw pretty one more time….Yes, the x box is made of cake. Other pretty things, welcome totes for their out of town guests (some flew 16 hours) and a Petite Sweets station as a parting gift. Details Details launched Petite Sweets a few months ago due to the requests for non traditional boxed favors or candy tables. I really enjoyed designing this one and finding yellow and pink cake platters…my favorites sweets for this table were the mini rose cupcakes.
[nggallery id="50"]Check out the full SLIDESHOW of this wedding from the fabulous 4 photographers (Annette, Colin, Andrew and Annie) from TripleCord Photography, click on their blog link. From feathers to sparkling rose wine, Sherry wanted a modern fairy tale wedding with a French flair, all inspired by Marie Antoinette movie. If you haven’t seen it, you must… it’s one of my favorite movies as the costumes and food and oh the shoes were to die for! Everything had to be scrumptious. Sherry’s over the top corset, french tulle and lace dress was the first piece to this story. Sherry Ting/Tom Zhao also created a family crest which was used throughout their paper goods, and prominently displayed on the dance floor. The pattern was also carefully piped onto the wedding cake. French pastries, including macaroons were presented after lunch, served with hot tea. Vintage crystal glass containers housed the fluffy flowers, and yes ostrich feathers. (Thanks Karla from EbD for finding those) And her perfect bouquet, I want one! The St. Regis ballroom glowed, warm, but soft and romantic…and set the perfect foundation for their choreographed waltz and first dance as husband and wife. Thanks to Victor Sizemore Photography for being there
A past bride Sarah Pahnke Reisert sent me this info and I totally agree with her and wanted to share with you all: Thought you might be interested in these innovative, convertible dresses that fit sizes 0-16 and can be worn 10 different ways. They were designed for bridesmaids, but they can be ordered individually so they would be perfect for a bride’s rehearsal dinner attire or for a destination event. Even better, they can be worn again and again for non-wedding events. Check out the design at www.twobirdsbridesmaid.com
Thanks for looking out for future brides Sarah, girl power!
One of my husband’s favorite places to live in the US is Chicago; this is before he met me days. He would tell me stories about the food (endless stories on pizza) the city life and the views of the river. I was able to recall some of those conversations as I pulled pictures from Chenin’s blog of Lindsay and Mark’s engagement session. Chenin from Boutwell Studio flew to Chicago to document their love and this time of their life before the wedding. Lindsay said that they walked on the Magnificent Mile over the Chicago River, into Millenium Park, over to the lake front, and then ending at Buckingham fountain. For those that know the city, I am sure this makes sense. I wonder if Chenin had pizza on this trip? I know she went to a CUBS game.
