LA Engagement Shoot

When Rosy & Paul met through mutual friends at a Christmas party, they knew from the start that they were going to be inseparable. Danny Lee Photography captured their engagement photos around the heart of LA, Bunker Hill & LACMA. Thank you to Carol and Danny for sharing these engagement photos with us. These moments truly reflect how fun-loving this couple really is. I am looking forward to their upcoming wedding at Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles.

Anuja & Arif’s Garba, night before the big day

I love love outdoor receptions, rare to find in OC. Anuja and Arif invited all their guests (most from out of state) to their Garba at the Bamboo courtyard of Fairmont Newport Beach. Sunny and her team at White Lilac created an amazing dance floor treatment that was so beautiful during daylight and it just got better and better as the night went on. It created such a festive atmosphere for Dandiya stick dancing and traditional bhangra drumming. The dance floor was always packed, except for when guests feasted on a gorgeous meal created by Praveen from Clay Oven. Praveen told me that the creme brule he makes is the best I will ever eat in my life. And you know what, I think he is right, it was fresh mango diced up ontop of creme brule that was perfectly smooth. They also offered mehendi to all the women present. When women got together for group shots, I just think it’s so beautiful when they stand side by side in their colorful saris. I am dying to wear a sari!

Style Unveiled Feature

We are excited to see Michelle & Timothy’s wedding produced by Shelly Wakefield featured on Style Unveiled! Some of you might have seen this feature since it was posted in August (summer seems to fly by!), but I thought I would add it to our blog in case you missed it. It is a beautiful feature with a gorgeous couple, so be sure to read more about the details that went into their wedding.

An Oasis in the Desert

This wedding brought back such special memories of working in the Palm Springs area a few years ago. When Monica & Tim told me about their wedding venue, I was so excited to be a part of their special day. Our bride and our groom, who is the current WBO World Light Welterweight Boxing Champion, celebrated their nuptials at The Corona Yacht Club located in Coachella Valley. It’s an actual working ranch with acres of palm trees so you almost feel like you are transformed into the Mexican Riviera….it’s truly an oasis in the desert. The Palm Tree Grove was the backdrop for our ceremony as the date palms created this magnificent space as if our couple were exchanging vows in a church setting. Christopher, Fiori Fresco Special Events, brought in several elements to capture Monica & Tim’s vision of a Catholic Church. The club was the backdrop for the dinner reception which overlooked a fresh water lagoon. A tiki torch path surrounds the lagoon and has several palapas for guests to enjoy. Shine lighting brought this venue to life by accenting all of our foliage and entertainment area with our color palate of lavender and chartreuse. Live performances from the very talented latino rock band, Quinto Menguante, took center stage as guests danced the night away on the private dock. Butterflies were ever so present in all of our décor from our bride’s bouquet, to the table centerpieces and lighting enhancements which reflected a new beginning for our lovely couple. Thank you Hoffmann for capturing all these wonderful moments in the desert heat!

Kim + Michael

Kim & Michael wed in the springtime at the Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Coast. Kim wanted her decor to be soft and pretty using neutral/light colors of natural creams, blushes and lots of greenery. I loved the flower chandelier created by Nisie’s team at Enchanted Florist…it made a beautiful statement! One fun personal touch to their decor was the custom framed table names. Kim decided to use race horses for her table names, since she is a rider herself, and wanted to incorporate her love of riding into the wedding. Thanks Nichelle of Details a la Carte from creating all the paper goods.

The celebration was a blast as James Gang from West Coast Music brought all guests onto the dance floor! Guests took a lot of silly photos in the photo booth by Pacific Photobooths. Aaron Delesie photographed the happy couple and Elysium Productions captured them through videography.

Kelly & James’ Montage Wedding

I loved working with Kelly & James, they are both amazing people and together make a great couple. When you meet Kelly & James you instantly notice their charismatic personalities. They are just as charming in person as they look in their photographs. I love Kelly’s cool/funky style (especially her crazy nail polish colors) and James’ lovely accent.

Kelly & James had a true destination wedding with guests coming from the east coast and all the way from the UK! They got married at the Montage in Laguna Beach…the perfect California beach setting.

Thank you Nisie for the wedding decor, Elysium Productions for capturing the wedding on video, and Braedon for sharing your photos with us (and chasing after that wild bunny for Kelly)!
