How fortunate that they hired a photographer who works in a very rainy region, Seattle. Joey from John and Joseph Photography also based in Los Angeles was the perfect guy for a rainy day wedding, you couldn’t tell looking at these photos! Betty looked stunning in her multiple outfits!

Betty and Mario wanted a fun and entertaining wedding with a show stopping timeline from lion dancers to flamenco salsa performers to a mini movie love story and slideshow. Their friend and brother were the dynamic duo MCs and kept the party going all night. You’ll see in the post that LED’s by Amber Event Production played an important role in changing the mood of the room as we changed lighting colors based on the entertainment…IE Red lighting for the Chinese Dragon performance! One of my favorite decor item was the double riser cake stand encrusted with rhinestones, provided by Nisie’s Enchanted Flowers.

Living in Chicago but wedding in Los Angeles….If I didn’t know any better, these could have been taken in Chicago versus downtown LA. Jon Barber, seasoned photographer knows so many places to go, perfect for his clients. My favorite pic is the white stone wall and staircase where only their heads upper body popped up….they had no idea how this photo would turn out, very clever and artistic Jon!

Shout out to a couple of our past Bride’s, Catherine & Megan, for having their wedding cake featured in the Pelican Hill Magazine! Both of their wedding cakes were created in house at Pelican’s party department and beautifully complimented their individual styles of their weddings. Kudos to Jasmine Star for capturing Catherine’s wedding cake and Victor Sizemore for photographing Megan’s cake. Be sure to read the article, “Let Them Eat Cake”, to hear about pastry chef, Jeff Lehuede’s thoughts on wedding cake. Chef Lehuede believes that all Pelican Brides should not save the top tier of their wedding cake to eat a year later. Instead, he will recreate the top tier of the wedding cake for the Bride and Groom on their 1 year anniversary so they can enjoy cake that actually tastes like it did on their wedding!

I wanted to share these custom garters created by La Gartier! It was cool to hear that Atlanta based designer/owner of La Gartier, Sarah Dobson, had inspired one of her customer’s garters off of a past Details Details wedding she had seen on our blog! La Gartier creates unique garters that are made with love for each Bride. With so many different styles and personalities that go into weddings, custom garters could make an adorable gift! Also a fun way to tie in that “something blue” on the wedding day or one of the wedding colors. If your style is glamourous, vintage, girly, punk rock, nautical, modern or you name it, La Gartier can create! Thank you to Sarah Dobson for sending us a garter inspired by our Details Details weddings.
